Joseph Schraber, 89, a life long resident of Duluth, died on June 6th in his home, with his children by his side.


Joe was a longtime business man, and up until 2 months ago was referred to as ''the oldest working salesman in Minnesota.''


He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Edith; his parents Sara and David Schraber; brothers, Henry and Harry; sisters, Molly and Celia.


He is survived by his children, Harlan (Sandy) Schraber, Tamie (Barry) Kaufman, Debbie Halverson, son-in-law, Bob Halverson; seven grandchildren, Paul, Steve, Sheila, Deanna, Shana, Bryan, and Derek; sisters, Ruth and Betty; brother-in-law Lawrence (Harriet) Schneider; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Ken and Linda Stafford.


The family would also like to thank Dr. Mark Plachta and the staff at St. Lukes Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Lukes Duluth Hospice.


SERVICES: was held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, in Temple Israel. Arrangements by Johnson-Crawford Funeral Services.
